team-motivation-teamwork-together-53958Our social skills groups incorporate Zones of Regulation, Social Stories ™, Social Thinking®, and Theory of Mind principals.  We systematically teach spoken and unspoken social rules including the proper way to greet people, how to maintain a back and forth conversation, appropriate body language when interacting with peers, interpreting and responding to non-verbal social cues and gestures, coping skills to reduce frustration and negative behaviors, and conflict resolution.  Skills will be broken down into explicit steps and modeled.  Children will then have the opportunity for guided practice of these skills through group discussion, role playing, and application during unstructured group tasks.  These groups are open for children ages 5 and up. Children will be matched according to age and skill level.
